On May 20, the 27th World Metrology Day was celebrated worldwide under the theme “Measurements for All Times, for All People,” highlighting metrology as the foundation for building trust. Following the successful completion of a specialized fuel dispenser verification training session in Sanya, OKet once again traveled to Hainan Province to conduct hands-on training for the OPC Series Automatic Fuel Nozzle Verification Device at Sinopec Hainan Wanning Branch, empowering frontline personnel with professional expertise and reinforcing the foundation of trustworthy operations and public confidence through precise measurement technology.

Building Trust Through Accurate Measurement

With a wide distribution of fueling stations, heavy daily traffic, and high-frequency use of fuel dispensers, the Wanning region places increasingly stringent demands on routine self-inspection, seasonal verification, and post-maintenance recalibration. This training session focused on practical implementation and real-world operational challenges, going beyond standard equipment introductions to address everyday working scenarios in detail.

During the session, OKet instructor Li Dekun provided a full-process demonstration of the equipment, with particular emphasis on the OPC Automatic Fuel Nozzle Verification Device’s key features, including one-click verification, automatic temperature compensation, automatic standard volume conversion, and automated data report generation. The training also addressed common operational mistakes, routine self-check procedures, and essential maintenance practices encountered in daily use.

In addition, based on the actual operating conditions of local fuel dispensers, the session covered common causes of measurement deviations and the impact of onsite temperature and humidity on verification results. Standardized procedures for station self-inspection and abnormal data handling were also introduced, enabling frontline personnel not only to operate the equipment effectively, but also to maximize its performance and reliability.

During the Q&A and interactive practice session, participants actively discussed operational challenges encountered at their own stations and quickly became familiar with the complete verification workflow through hands-on experience. The OPC Automatic Fuel Nozzle Verification Device demonstrated significant advantages, including ease of operation, rapid data output, high verification accuracy, and full traceability of results. Without the need for complex calculations or manual reading interpretation, a single operator can independently complete self-inspection for all fuel dispensers at a station, substantially reducing frontline workload while improving the standardization and efficiency of station measurement management.
