Project Background and Core Challenges
As part of its digitalization and environmental compliance initiatives, TotalEnergies Cambodia planned to replace the aging ATG and Leak Detection System (LDS) at its Chateau D’Eau (CTD) service station in Phnom Penh.
The challenge was significant: the station operates 24/7 in a busy urban area where traditional upgrades would require excavation, extensive cabling, and prolonged shutdowns—resulting in operational losses and customer disruption.
TotalEnergies required a solution capable of delivering a complete ATG and LDS replacement with minimal installation time, zero interruption to fuel sales, and full compliance with its technical standards.
Solution Deployment
To overcome these challenges, OKet deployed its wireless LoRa-based ATG & LDS solution, featuring battery-powered communication modules and wireless magnetostrictive probes. The entire installation, configuration, commissioning, and performance validation were completed within a single day while the station remained fully operational, eliminating the need for excavation, cable trenching, or any interruption to fuel sales.
The deployment included:

Project Outcomes
One-Day Upgrade with Zero Downtime
The complete replacement of the ATG and LDS system was finished within a single day while the station remained fully operational.
No fuel sales interruption. No customer impact.
Proven Measurement Accuracy
Field verification against manual tank dipping demonstrated measurement accuracy within ±0.2 mm, fully meeting TotalEnergies' technical requirements.
Enhanced Safety & Environmental Compliance
The new system provides continuous 24/7 leak monitoring, enabling early detection of abnormalities and supporting environmental protection objectives.
Foundation for Digital Fuel Operations
Real-time inventory visibility, automated data collection, alarm management, and centralized reporting provide a scalable foundation for future smart station operations.
Approved for Large-Scale Replication
Following successful commissioning and one month of stable operation, the project received positive validation from both local management and regional technical teams.
TotalEnergies selected the wireless ATG & LDS renovation model as a reference approach for future upgrades across its Cambodia retail network.
